I have never had a flea in my kennel in 15 years. I treat my dogs with diatomaceous earth which is a fossil powder and it takes care of all fleas, ticks, worms. Other then diatomaceous earth , I use no other product other than Ocean Omega Omega Fish Oil which I have been using for five years and my dog are healthy. If you keep an animal then I think you are responsible to make sure it gets what it needs.

"Beijing also had a bare spot on his tail, where his skin was absent of any hair. Since starting the Ocean Omega, his coat as stated earlier, started feeling softer after three weeks , but also the bare spot started filling in during the past month and now is almost gone. I’m not sure, if the Ocean Omega helped him grow back hair on his bald spot , but I would think so, and it sure has given him a better and softer coat."
My husband Hiram bought a gallon of Fish Oil from you yesterday at Sendaishi. I had been given us a 16 ounce bottle of it as a gift, and we've been using it on the food of two of our 13 sled dogs. Those two dogs have had severe coat problems caused by an inherited disorder, inlcluding dry, thinning hair and bald patches on their hips and tail. The condition is called "coat funk" in malamutes, but it has different names in other breeds. Veterinary dermatologists simply call it alopecia x because so little is known about the causes. No definitive treatment exists at this time.
Our two dogs seemed to be getting slightly better before we started giving them your fish oil, but over the summer their improvement has been nothing short of miraculous. While I am reluctant to attribute the regrowth of hair to fish oil alone, there is no doubt in my mind that it has been a major factor. We had been afraid that those two dogs would have to be retired prematurely from our team, but now they have plenty enough coat to allow them to run in all but the most extreme winter conditions. It will be interesting to see whether they continue to hold their new coats. Their condition is clearly a medical disorder of some type, but, like other diseases, it is mediated by a wide variety of factors, including hormones and nutrition.
For a long time people have thought that omega fatty acids played a role in improving coats, but the results that people get from the various products out there have been patchy, to say the least. I am the health committee chairperson for our national breed club, and will be sure to spread the word about your product. It isn't appropriate for me to "advertise" any one product, but if my experience with your fish oil will help someone else's dog, I certainly want to share it.
Thanks for your efforts on behalf of sled dogs and other dogs.

"I had a female dog get into a bit of a tangle with one of my other dogs in the kennel, due to "HORMONES". "I have too many females trying to co-exist". "I had to shave some body parts of her body to clean out the puncture wounds". "I started to give an extra dose of the Ocean Omega Golden Fish Oil and she recovered quite nicely." "I was running low on the Ocean Omega Fish Oil so I took some of my dogs off the product, and I figured they did not need it until I could reorder some more". "Those dogs who were not receiving the Ocean Omega Golden Fish Oil started to shed and their skin began to become dry and scaly."
" I quickly reordered more of The Ocean Omega and immediately added the oil to their food, and they soon were all shiny again." "So yes this Ocean Omega Product is GREAT!"

I have been breeder of the Dogo Argentino for 7 years. I've been using OceanOmega 3 fish oil for 4 years, and my dogs love it. It is great for their skin and helps their coat really shine. It also helps picky eaters eat better. I start my puppies out on this and provide a sample for new puppy owners as well. My dogs are happy and healthy and that makes me happy!!

Falkenhorst K-9 is a large boarding/ breeding/training kennel in Roanoke, Virginia. It has been in operation for nearly 50 years and has produced many champions. At this time I am breeding Rottweilers, Argentine Dogos and Boxers as the larger breeds and some smaller breeds. I have all my dogs including those that board on Omega 3 fish oil. My recent Boxer litter had the mother on the oil and she produced some of the best puppies I have seen. She has a fine coat and the new babies are sleek and shiny and I know this is due to the oil they are receiving from their mother. Once weaned I shall start them on their very own oil. Not only do the dogs love the taste and devour their food but they are in outstanding condition. I now purchase by the gallon.
I also have a Cattery and I have recently put all the cats on Ocean Omega 3 oil. The Manx, Maine Coons and Bengals all love the fish taste and they have fine thick coats and are very happy cats. Thank you from all of us for your fine product. Louise Jacobs, Falkenhorst K-9
Ocean Omega asked that I respond to a question you had regarding omega-3 dosage for your 125 pound dog with renal failure.
I need to start by saying that you should run my advice across your veterinarian before you start treatment. Please print out this email to show your vet.
In the past we had a veterinarian prescribe 10 grams of oil per day to a dog of unknown weight for alleviation of symptoms associated with kidney failure with very positive results...i.e. the animal was doing well with a good quality of life, for over two more years. This recommendation was from Washington State University Vet Med: http://courses.vetmed.wsu.edu/vm552/urogenital/crf.htm .The omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids are degraded to different eicosanoids. Preliminary studies suggest that diets high in omega 3 polyunsaturated fatty acids preserve renal function in dogs with induced renal failure whereas diets high in omega 6 fatty acids hasten decline Omega 3 PUFA supplementation may reduce hypercholesterolemia, suppress inflammation and coagulation, lower blood pressure and favorably influence renal hemodynamics.
The following protocol for dietary lipid modification is recommended: · obtain a baseline ,blood pressure UPC (urine protein creatinine ratio)creatinine ,feed 1 to 5 g omega 3 polyunsaturated fatty acids per day re evaluate baseline parameters at 2 and 4 weeks then monthly
As you can see, they had a lower dose recommendation of 1-5 grams of Omega-3 per day. One other source I looked up for comes from VIN (Veterinary Information Network) where a participant had written this when posed "Discussion: Renal Failure and Proteinuria in a Lame Dog -Stop Rimadyl? Start Enalapril? Omega 3 Dose :" One benign thing you can do for possible glomerular disease is to use omega-3 EFAs - the dose is 1 g per 5 kg - start low and work up to this.

With these recommendations the doses are still general. My suggestion would be to ask your vet about starting at a lower dose of 10 g omega-3 per day since you have a large dog. Since the oil is ~30 percent omega-3, that would be about 30 grams or one ounce of oil per day. From there you can increase the dose.
I have been using this product on my two elderly brother indoor cats for quite some time now. Their coat and skin condition is superlative. It is amazing how their former profused shedding stopped within just a few applications. My vet is amazed at how well their immune system has responded, and he highly recommends the continued use of Ocean Omega in the treatment of my cat Harry, who is a diabetic, and my cat Max, who has chronic pancreatitus.
He is certain that this Ocean Omega Fish Oil has prolonged their 16 years of existence, and sees no foreseeable reason why they should'nt continue to live many more years.
