Reflecting On Realizing How Valuable Animals Really Are
The Right of Every Animal
After seeing so many recent posts regardingThe Buxton Kennel Rescue Campaign supporting animal rights, I too am compelled to express my thoughts on this very important topic.
If this were a time like long ago, when Native Americans, practiced living in tandem with the animals, we wouldn’t even be talking about this kind of animal neglect right now. We would be more in tune with the sacredness of the animals and their gifts to our soceity would be more readily apparent and appreciated.
Such travesties as The Michael Vick dog fighting mess, simply personifies, the total disregard for nature and its animals, and it is the greed in man that causes such abominations to animals. Greed has rapidly become a breeding ground for ignorance.
A large facet of the worlds populus has lost its own reverance, due to this lack of respect for nature , and our animals.
We need to be guided back to this earlier time to live and experience the land and the seasons and the ways of animals.
Today, in our time of great changes on our planet, many have no idea how much we need dedicated proponents of protecting nature, who can collectively converse about the seasons, the elements, GLOBAL WARMING,the ways of animals, and the cycles of life and whose primary interests are not in seeing dollar signs and continue to exploit our animals for the sake of the dollar.
Because, in order for atrocities on animals to stop, man needs to care again about having a spiritual relationship with nature.
“Relating” to something is key to “caring” about it.
Laws will NEVER completely stop these things, thus is why they continue to occur.
When they will truly stop, will be when man is impelled to have a spiritual realization that we all need to do so SOON if we are to perservere.

One of the things we have pushed aside is our dependence on animals. If there were no bees we would have no pollination and as a people would starve to death from lack of a food supply. Yet we spray the bees as they annoy us. The food chain would not be there.
We are predators as a race. We kill for the pleasure of the act and not for food or any viable reason. This has us doomed as a nation.
Michael Vick killed for pleasure not for money. He has more money than he could ever spend so he looked for a "high" in some other way. The abuse you suffered in Maine perhaps was for money purposes. People without any morals. If they abuse animals what about other people, children, elderly people who have no further value in our society. Look around and you will find this in some form everywhere.
I live with animals. They are my friends. When we take a deer it is for food. When winters are hard we feed deer and other wildlife. Balance.
Today was a great day. I had the good fortune of being able to place an 8 year old poorly treated dog from a shelter living on borrowed time with a family who 10 years ago rescued another dog from me. They are willing to give this dog a few good years of comfort and kindness and allow her to die in her own time. These are my heros. They are special. These are the humans I believe in.
Those who are helping the poor creatures posted on this site are heros. No fanfares for them as they silently do their job and give all they can to save lives.
The Ocean Omega people who are banging on every door they know to help. Doing what they can to invite people to assist in saving the innocents. We are the people who went to Katrina and saved animals. We are the breeders who emptied our kennels of supplies, crates, food and medicine. It was our job. No rewards required. We have spent our lives with our dogs protecting and guarding us and giving all they have. It was and is payback time.
Life is not about material possessions. It is about spiritual connections. Until we can connect with the natural world and all that is around you, forests, birds and creatures and your own pets than we have missed the boat. Your SUV will not follow you to the world beyond, but your dog probably will be waiting for you.
As Ghandi stated: " a nation is judged by the way it treats its animals."
