Wow!!! Just came in from installing an exhaust fan and light in the coop and here I find a picture. The coop is nearly complete other than painting the outside. Next the automatic watering cups go in and then it is done I hope. This is high tech low maintenance.
The hens are happy and now have an outside small pool to wade in because of the intense heat. They are 10 weeks old and so will have another 10 weeks of Omega 3 fish oil in their diets before we get any eggs. I expect the eggs will be very rich and tasty.
This experiment began as another supplement to our probiotic holistic life style. It all began as a project to enhance the immune sytems of my dogs and extend their lives by using Omega 3 fish oil. I kind of got caught in the process and got healthier along with them. It's sort of the famous "path not taken" and I took it and look where I have landed. There is no turning back ever and it may sound crazy but I owe it all to Omega 3 fish oil. Try and explain that to your friends.
