Fish Oil and Horse Hooves
I have been doing some research on applications of fish oil as a component of medication for "hoof" care in horses. Our Ocean Omega Flavored Equine Fish Oil has seen proven results in the treatment of Laminitis, but I am interested in seeking information for other possible scenarios that our Equine Oil could be found beneficial in the treatment process.
Some of the "tinctures" out there seem to have some intriguing ingredients.i.e, pine tar, fish oil, turpentine and iodine.,wheat germ oil, neatsfood oil, povidone iodine and venice terpentine ...
.. In fact one of our recent OO clients has contacted me privately about possibly pursuing a formula utilizing our OO Fish Oil as an active ingredient.
I hope to have more to convey on that topic in the near future. However, in the interim, I would welcome comments from readers in general, but especially you horse owners, as to what you have found to be successful treatment procedures for your own horses "hoof" care, and if any of you have utilized fish oil in your applications or treatments.
