Ocean Omega continues to strive towards excellence. We are continually trying to improve on packaging, labeling, website updates, marketing, and all the day to day affairs of running a small business.

Our current efforts have been concentrated on updating our product labels.The consistent juggling act of working on a shoe string budget, makes this project, as it does all others, taxing to say the least.

My business partner is meeting with our label vendor this a.m. to discuss details of creating a more informative label. We originally had to purchase a significant quantity of our existing labels, which after 4 years of doing business, we are about to exhaust. Thus the cycle will now take a full turn, as we are small business proprietors, we will have to negotiate a moderate and feasible reorder quantity of our new labels, which will most assuredly cost more,this being reflective of our updates with the increase of verbiage about our fish oil.

When we first started to sell our Ocean Omega Fish Oil, we were able to offer free shipping on first time orders.Unfortunately, like most other commodities, the increase in costs of shipping our products ( we are shipping to clients in ALL 50 states & Canada ), has forced our hands to pass on the cost of shipping on ALL our orders.We have installed a discount shipping program; where we STILL absorb a portion of shipping costs to abate customer concerns, and we continue to offer a 10% discount for reorders.

I try to stay innovative in my marketing efforts by trying to formulate value added services and pricing programs which will be perceived as fair and equitable by our clients as we try to keep the price of our Ocean Omega fish oil competitive.

Ocean Omega presently has a handful of retail accounts, we are negotiating with several more, which if we are fortunate enough to have them come to fruition, then this dilemna of balancing a shoe string budget will only be accentuated.
