Change something: Tell everyone!

Marketing is all about being on the top of your customer's mind. That is done by frequently "touching" your customers. A change in your business is a great reason to reach out and touch your customers.

What's new?
As soon as you have something new to tell customers by all means tell them. Dean Bingham of Dean's Sweets has extended his truffle season so that his delicious handmade chocolates are available for Father's Day. How do I know that? He sent me an email.

Allergist Andrew Carey expanded his office in Falmouth. How do I know that? Yes, he sent me, and all of his patients, a postcard.

Did you change your business hours? Hire someone? Promote someone? Start selling a new product or service? By all means tell your customers and keep your business on their mind.

NAIS is it good or bad? you decide..the NAIS is bad i feel ,it stands for national animal idenity system and is being forced upon us all in 2008 if we dont stop this.
what it is it to have all livestock tagged and for small rual farmers will be too expensive by far.what will happen they are not telling you. all of us who have farms will have to moniter all our livestock where you buy it where it goes by miles or to where you dispose of it ect, plus ear tag it have to have a reader and subscibe over the net to let them know what your doing.if this isnt big brother watching you you tell me!plus farm cops will be assigned to check your livestock too.
we are loosing or tradional rights as small farms if this is going though, and it says madatory! we dont even get the chance to vote on this.what will happen is small and even big livestock farms will stopand then what? rely on imports eh?so what happens when imports stop? or they havent thought of that .our rights are being taken away from us day by day .so oppose the MAIS ..it will cost us all in time .white your state congrassman the govenor or call we need to stop this!thank you !

I think it is important to tell your customers about "news" in your company. However, be sure not to become annoying by announcing every detail of every new happening. This could potentially have the opposite effect and turn customers away from you. Be sure that the news is important or useful to your customer!

My customers enjoy seeing what's new in my studio, and I get requests to be included on my mailing list. When I do send out a mailing, it always results in sales. I probably should do it more frequently, but don't want to risk annoying customers by sending too many.
