Wiki What?

I leaned a new word this week - Wikinomics. That doesn't mean I know exactly what it means...but I'm told it is synonymous with 'Crowdsourcing'. Does that help?

.

My personal, limited definition is:

Wikinomics or Crowdsourcing refers to the practice of engaging customers, consumers, suppliers, 'people at large', and other interested parties to help identify, research, process, resolve, and improve organizational operations or functions. And, it's generally free or accessed with very little cost using the Internet. Still not sure?

Then be sure to attend the Maine Marketing Association Seminar/workshop - Web 2.0 - Internet Strategies for Power Marketing on Monday, May 21st from 8:30-Noon at the Abromson Center on the USM Portland Campus. It's only $45 for non-members and $35 for members.
