Communicating clear and effective messages in a sea of clutter
Effectively communicating clear and memorable messages is becoming more and more challenging in this ever-changing and fragmented marketing environment.
Learn how to develop messages that will stand out and effective ways to reach your target market at the Maine Marketing Association's fall seminar. "Right on! Staying on message no matter what: Crafting and communicating effective messages that will break through the clutter" will take place on October 17th from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. at the Glickman Family Library on the University of Southern Maine's Portland campus.
Roy Heffley will join us as the keynote speaker. Based in Williamsburg, Virginia, Heffley spent more than 20 years as a network journalist for ABC News in Washington. Among his many assignments, he wrote and produced national broadcasts for Peter Jennings, Sam Donaldson and many others. Heffley has also worked at the White House and inside the Camp David family quarters as ABC's producer for many of President Reagan's live addresses. Today, as one half of Bob Moomey Communications, Heffley coaches top-level executives in exceptional communication skills, prepping them for everything from speeches and presentations to "60 Minutes" interviews. His clients include the American Petroleum Institute, GlaxoSmithKline, Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft and Pfizer.
Heffley will be joined by a panel of local marketing professionals who will share case studies on this topic.
The cost to attend is $35 for members, $45 for non-members and $15 for students with valid student ID. To register, please contact the Maine Marketing Association at registration@mainemarketingassociation.com.
